Benelli, a global leader in the superbike segment, has entered into Memorandum of Understanding with the Telangana Government to set up a manufacturing plant at Medichal, Pochampally, Hyderabad. It has also announced a strategic partnership with Adishwar Auto Ride India of the Mahavir Group, one of the leading automobile dealers in the country.
The MoU and partnership were been announced at a recent event in Chennai. A leader in the SuperBike segment, Benelli has a world-class range of products and after-sales service. Established in 1911, Benelli is one of the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturers and has a presence in over 60 countries, including America, Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Benelli’s global product portfolio includes more than 20 variants of motorcycles, scooters and electric bicycles. In India, it has so far introduced: TNT25, TNT300, TNT302R, TNT600i, TNT600GT, TNT899 and TNT 1130 models So far about 5,650 units have been sold across India.
With over three decades of experience in the automobile business, Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), a subsidiary of Mahavir Group, has been chosen as a preferred partner by Benelli, to market Benelli’s exclusive product range in the country. AARI is setting up a CKD assembly plant for Benelli in Hyderabad and the partnership also entitles AARI to assemble, manufacture bikes and import exclusive range of Benelli bikes from Italy and South East Asia regions. The manufacturing facility will be set up in two phases. The First phase, spread over 3 acres, will be executed through AARI-Mahavir.
To gain significant market share in the country, the company is also looking out for new dealer partners across all regions in India, besides continuing the relationship with existing dealers of Benelli.

“Currently we have 21 per cent market share in the superbike segment in India and our aim is to surpass 30 per cent by 2021. We have also established a robust after-sales service structure in India to build a relationship of mutual trust and knowledge with our customers,” he said.
