Italian car maker and FCA group member Maserati, keen to spread its prescence in India has launched the 2018 model year Quattroporte GTS performance sedan.
Maserati has set an asaking price of Rs 2.7 crore (ex-showroom) for the car.
The Quattroporte GTS has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine making 530bhp and 710 Nm of torque. The 0-100kmph sprint is done away with in just 4.7sec courtesy of the ubiquitous 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.
Available in two trims – GranLusso and GranSport, the former is the comfort oriented of the two.
There are styling tweaks to keep the model fresh for another year outside and inside, with the sedan getting a new set of adaptive LED headlamps that come programmed with glare-free high beam assist.
Inside, you get a new 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and phone mirroring function. The infotainment can also be operated via a rotary dial present in the centre console or through voice commands.
The GranSport trim provides buyes with an option to specify an exterior carbon pack that adds carbonfibre to the ORVMs, front bumper, door handles and B-pillar cover.
Other options include a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkin Surround sound system (the 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system comes as standard).
The car comes with a host of safety features as well, with six airbags, active headrests, Active Blind Spot Assist, parking sensors with reverse camera, surround view camera and Traffic Sign Recognition to keep the occupants of the car safe throughout its lifecycle.
