BMW recently showcased its refreshed middle-weight adventure tourers the F750GS and F850GS at the recently concluded EICMA Motorcycle Show.
Replacements of the F700GS and F800GS, the bikes are expected to be launched in India soon and it is expected that BMW will use the Auto Expo as the platform to make their announcement.
Designed as go-anywhere motorcycles, the duo make use of a 853cc parallel twin engine, with the F750GS getting lesser power and torque figures than that of the F850Gs.
The F750GS makes do with 77bhp and 83Nmw while the F850GS can be had with 85bhp and 92Nm of torque.
BMW says the bikes comes with an upgraded frame which is said to be a more efficient monocoque type carrying tweaked suspension geometry and fuel tank placement. The company also claims a more ‘powerful’ exhaust thanks to the motor’s new 270-degree firing order.
There are traditional BMW touches, including asymmetrical headlamps and a simple tail lamp cluster which are full-LEDs.
The F750GS and F850GS come with ABS, ASC and ridng modes as standard with electronic suspension adjustment (ESA) being an option to pay for. BMW is expected to price the bike so as to take the fight to the Triumph XC twins.
