TVS Motor Company has teased their upcoming flagship bike, the RR 310 in a short official video before the launch of the bike.
The bike, which is set to launch on 6 December, was shown with the tag “35 years of TVS Racing” at the tail section. Also seen was the term “TVS Racing” on the engine cowl and the words “race spec” on the frame, hinting that TVS is all set to launch the new bike using their expertise in the racing field to help with their branding.
The motorcycle was first showcased as the Akula 310 concept at the Auto Expo the previous year and garnered lots of attention.
The bike comes powered by a BMW engineered 313cc engine that is also used in the Bavarian maker’s G310R. In the latter, the engine is capable of producing 34 bhp and 28 Nm. It will be interesting to see of TVS will keep the same power outputs or reduce them akin to what Bajaj does with their bikes, in order to not bother KTM.
Features seen in the teaser include the projector headlamps, digital instrument cluster, LED tail light unit and a body coloured frame.
The bike will get ABS, liquid-cooling for the engine, fuel injection, USD forks upfront and as per sources Michelin Pilot Street rubber for best on-road traction.
The launch of the bike is set to take place on 6 December. Expect the prices to be under Rs 2 lakh. When launched, the bike will go up against KTMs crop of performance motorcycles and their Bajaj counterparts.
