Yamaha Motor India has launched the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition of its popular FZ 25 naked motorcycle. The bike is launched in limited numbers at INR 136,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be available in India by the end of July 2021.
The bike maker also has plans to introduce the limited edition in its other models.
The all-new FZ 25 lends a sporty look as the bike gets Yamaha Moto GP branding on the tank shrouds, the fuel tank and side panels.
The motorcycle retains the same BS-VI compliant 249cc air-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 20.8 PS at 8,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 20.1 Nm at 6,000 RPM.
The FZ 25 also has a multi-function negative LCD instrument cluster, LED DRLs (Day Time Running Lamp), LED headlight, and a side stand with an engine cut-off switch.
Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha India, said, “The spirit of ‘The Call of the Blue’ is born from Yamaha’s Racing DNA. This year, our performance in MotoGP has been exceptional. Till now, we are #1 in all three Standings – Team, Constructor and Rider. As a brand, our objective is to bring global racing excitement onto Indian roads, and today, we are launching the FZ 25 Monster Energy Yamaha Moto GP Edition for Indian customers.” In the future, the company will continue to introduce more exciting products as a part of its brand commitment to India, he added.
